Two for the price of one

By July 20, 2015September 28th, 2016Guest Post, Weekly Tip

Here’s the first of my “guest tips”. I love reading the blog “I’m an organizing junkie… and you can be too!” at www.orgjunkie.com Laura gives great, practical tips without making organizing seem completely overwhelming.

In one of her posts from April, she gives suggestions on “How to get the itch to pitch”. Her number one reason? “Recognize purging is for everyone.” You don’t have to be an official hoarder on television to purge items from around your house. I love going through my closet, dresser, or nightstand (because when you’re a live-in nanny, that’s pretty much the only space that your’s) and getting rid of items I no longer need. One rule I live by is, for every item of clothing I buy, I try to donate an equal number of items from my existing clothes. I’ll be honest, it doesn’t always happen, and it’s mainly because I don’t want to go down to the dark and scary basement to get more hangers, but still! It’s a good way to keep my clothes from taking over my entire room.

So here ya go. 2 tips for the price of one. Now go and be productive.
